SE Diamond Sharpening Block Set
The sharpening plates are generally OK. However, they came apart from the backing as soon as I opened the package.
They are about what I expected for less than $8. I don’t think the stated grits are even close to what they actually are. In my opinion they are probably between 150-300 grit, there is little difference in going through the grits. Good for sharpening tools or a good place to start for knives. Makes quick work of a rough edge on knives before going to finer and much more expensive stones, but you would never get a razor sharp edge with these alone.
As a separate reviewer had stated these are prone to detaching from their backing but the sharpening surfaces themselves work fine. I would recommend removing them from their backing anyway as the backing is flimsy and prone to flexing out of flat. Simply re-mount the sharpening surface to a stable flat backing (granite slab) with some strong adhesive and you have an inexpensive surface to sharpen from. Grits included are 150, 300 and 450
